Testimonies
Every year we receive thousands of reports, testimonies, and praises on how God is using Light Bearers to change lives. These represent more than nice “feedback”; they are like food to us! They give us encouragement, strength and desire to press on. If you have a testimony of how Jesus Christ has used Light Bearers to impact your life, please share it with us. We’d love to hear from you!

Mr. Asscherick , I watched all your sermons on Eleventh Hour Evidence. I have learned so much about the Sabbath and Prophecies of Revelation and Daniel. I just wanted to say thank you so much for boldly speaking the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ. When I have time I will send you my testimony on how God delivered me from the world of hardcore music, sex, drugs and everything that comes with it. All praise to Yahweh. Thank you for everything David. I am truly blessed when you speak.

Pastor James Golay
, Conference President, Liberia Union MissionThere is no county in our country that does not use your wonderful literature. They are used by the Pathfinders club, AYS, Lay people, and can be found in all of our churches.
We distributed more than 2000 Bibles, three thousand tracts and other books all from Light Bearers during our satellite evangelism and about 450 precious souls were baptized.
Keep working for the Lord, and hope that you visit my country one day.
All the best.

, Voice of Prophecy Director/Speaker East African Union of SDAGlory and honor be unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From the Voice of Prophecy Bible Correspondence School, East African Union I here very sincerely want to thank you for the support you have given and are still giving this ministry to this union. The containers of materials are of very great use to evangelism in this area.
During the Hope series by pastor Pardon Mwansa from Nairobi, the Discover guides and Ugundusi lessons were of great help. With his Gideonite Concept, over 2500 students graduated and about the same number was baptized.
These materials are extensively used in institutions of learning including public universities. The prison ministry in this union has taken root and large numbers of inmates are being baptized into the church using the Light Bearers Ministry materials.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For your worthy ministry to millions around the world as they are being prepared for the soon return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Pastor S. Lumwe, Kenya
, Eastern African UnionWe praise God for the blessings we have received from the Light Bearers. Already we have the first container, the EAU VOP Department received it and now they are in the process of arranging them to be sent to the Fields and Conferences, we hope the second container will arrive in good time before our satellite series meetings start.
May the Lord bless you abundantly.

, Vice President, South African Indian Ocean DivisionWe used the containers to Angola as pre-work for a Reaping campaign.
We started preparing the 400 churches in Angola eight months before the container was to arrive training them on how to use the lessons. When the Bible study lessons arrived, the 400 churches started preparing the field for the material, so when the moment came we had more than 10,000 people ready for the campaigns.
Dr. Paul Ratsara (SID president) was the speaker, and first he ran the campaign in Luanda, Angola and ended with almost 5 thousand baptisms, then a second in Benguela with more than 1000 baptised.
In Luanda as well as in Benguela, the day after the baptism he gave to the newly baptized people a training session about how to win souls and he challenged all the 6000 or more people who were baptized to be enrolled on the Fishers of Men program, and we gave them Light Bearers lessons encouraging them to enroll friends and family members. The goal is to have a Fisher of Men baptism with 6000 new souls, people who will be won be the newly baptized members.
It is our wish to make this Fisher of Men program a cycle one in our Division, each baptized person wins one to Jesus and the material we are using are Bibles and Bibles lessons (Light Bearers lessons).
Again thank for your vision, commitment a sacrificial spirit, may God bless you twice.

Ray Zeeman, South Africa
, Director, VOP Cape TownWe have supplied each of five Conferences in South Africa with between 1000 and 2000 sets of each of the five different series you sent us. They will in turn supply all the congregations in their territory that conduct mini Bible Schools. These congregations will add these new lessons to their repertoire of lessons.
At our VOP Bible School we have designed a set of question and answer sheets to go with the three Bible study series, Daniel, Revelation and Preludes of Hope. We also have a memorandum of the correct answers. We have passed these on to our Conferences mentioned above.
We have also designed a Certificate for each of the three Bible Study Series mentioned above. These we will also make available to the Conferences.
Lastly, we are uploading the five new series we received from you onto our computer student program and they will be our newest and latest offerings to the public and our members and especially to our existing and future students. Upon completion they will receive a certificate.
We love the lessons you sent to us and feel proud that we can offer them to the people of South Africa.

, Guyana ConferenceWe are very grateful for the twenty-foot container of literature received from Light Bearers.
The material was immediately put into use.
Four pastoral crusades have since been held in addition to several small lay efforts which have seen over 500, yes five hundred individuals baptized into the church.
There are only about 216 bibles remaining to be distributed and some used Spirit of Prophecy volumes. These will be utilized in up-coming evangelistic efforts. These efforts have already been planned.
In-home Bible studies are continuing also and the results of these keep trickling into the Conference as pastors report baptisms of 8, 12, and 15 individuals without evangelistic campaigns.
We thank God for using you in such a marvelous mighty way.

The literature from Light Bearers is making an eternal difference in the lives of the people of Fiji.
The Bible study guides are being used by the church members as they study with their friends and family.
When enough people are interested in studying more in a particular area, then they arrange for a seminar to take place.
The Bibles you sent in the containers are being given out to everyone who attends every night of the meetings.
God Bless all of you at Light Bearers for spreading the love of Jesus throughout the world.

Meiring Pretorius, Zambia
, Evangelism Director, Riverside Farm InstituteA major part of our outreach methods with the Bible Pioneers is literature. God is using this “silent messenger” tool in a tremendous way. Light Bearers Ministry (LBM) sends us thousands of Bible Study lessons (Voice of Prophecy lessons – VOP) during the year. The Bible Pioneers are trained in the use of this tool to form VOP schools and home bible studies. In this way many people can study these bible lessons privately at home. This way, every branch, company and church which falls under the leadership of the Bible Pioneer, also becomes a Bible Study School. The number of people studying the Bible are multiplied and many are led by the Holy Spirit to be baptized. Our aim is to get these Bible study materials as wide spread as possible in Zambia and across the borders.
In addition to the LBM materials, Remnant Publishers also sends us Bibles for Africa. These are sponsored to give freely to people and is specifically used by the Bible Pioneers to give to their VOP students a gift after they had finished all their Bible lessons. This is also a powerful tool, since many people hunger for a Bible.
Your support in our Bible Pioneer and Mini-evangelism school programs is highly appreciated.
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord” 1 Corinthians 15:58.
Your co-labourer with God.

Cross Training, 2010It was an amazing experience to be a part of ARISE; especially the first CROSStraining experience… something I will NEVER forget

Cross Training“What’s great about CROSStraining is its ability to meet the student wherever they are in their spiritual walk. From new converts to born and raised Adventists, the program helps them reach new spiritual heights! There is no way you could come to CROSStraining without learning something.”

Cross Training, 2010“In every Bible study of every doctrine I’ve learned to teach God is love. ARISE taught me more than a method, it taught me about a relationship.”

Bible Boot Camp, 2011We were so blessed to have the ARISE team come to Australia and do Bible Boot Camp at our church and I hope you can come again next year! Kingscliffe church isn’t the same and I know that each person will be sharing the bible truth that we learnt with the people in our lives. I know it has given me the tools and also the knowledge to talk to people I haven’t been able to talk to before because of fear that I couldn’t justify my beliefs.

My brother and I have been listening and watching David’s sermons for almost 10 years. We are not typical religious people and he is by far the most dynamic and engaging pastor I have ever encountered.

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2007“ARISE is an intense and a high quality training program, and has prepared me beyond my expectations. I actually came to ARISE because I thought the world needed a better understanding of Jesus but found I was the one who needed the better understanding of Him. Basically, I came to ARISE as a nominal Christian and now I am leaving a true follower of Christ.”

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2007“At Arise, we are asked to give our conversion experience. The truth is, ARISE was my conversion experience. You only realize you are not ok when you see Jesus face to face, and He is staring at you every day at ARISE. The most powerful thing about this experience is the passion and honesty of the staff and the students; Christ lives here in reality, not just in words. Love is a principle, not a feeling. ARISE shows you love, not just so you feel good, but so you can follow Christ and stand for truth. ARISE will change you life, as you truly begin to see yourself in Christ. Come to ARISE – be blessed, and bless others.”

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2007“I came here to be like a guy who used to be a purpled haired/punk rocker/skateboarder. I was convicted at ARISE to be like Jesus. My carnal motives for preaching and evangelism were exposed. This experience was invaluable in that it gave me eye-salve to see myself, ministry and lost souls as my Father sees.”

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2008“I already had the desire to learn more about evangelism and after hearing about ARISE I felt the Lord was leading me to go there. I’ve had a great time at ARISE, although the program is highly intensive we had a very good atmosphere in the class. I loved the different subjects that were taught. The classes I enjoyed most were Apologetics and Hermeneutics (Biblical interpretation). The most challenging aspect of the training was the outreach, going door to door in good and bad weather. But to actually find people who are interested in the Bible and to study with them was truly rewarding. During outreach we had the opportunity to put all the theories from the different classes into practice.”

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2008“I never thought a year ago that I would be at this high level of witnessing with a passion, truly having God’s Word written in my heart and having a constant and real relationship with God. I have to praise God for leading me to ARISE. I may have sowed in tears, but I can rejoice in how far I’ve come in all points. I still have a long way to go, but I praise God for my journey so far. One can not come to ARISE and not leave a different person. The truth has challenged me and allowed me to grow. I thank God for the instructors. They are an amazing group of people to be around. If I could come to ARISE again, I would do it in a heart beat!”

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2008“Knocking on doors was what I feared most before I came. But by knocking on those doors, I’ve experienced how God took away my fear and turned it into a burden for those souls. The classes have been good. I especially liked Bible Boot Camp (SDA Doctrines) because it was taught in such a way that we can easily go out and teach others. Even though I was raised Adventist, once class began I soon realized that I didn’t know as much as I thought I did. Now, three and a half months later, I understand my mission as a young Seventh-day Adventist. I have a clearer picture of God’s love for me and I cannot wait to share what I have learnt.”

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2008If you would have told me four months ago that I would be religious, attending church weekly, and at ARISE excited, willing, and filled with joy to save souls and lead people to Jesus, I would have laughed and probably called you crazy.
About four months ago I got out of the army and was thrilled. I had money, cars, and an apartment right by the beach in Florida. Life was good. I would hang out with friends, drink, do drugs, socialize, and enjoy the “freedom”. But freedom comes at a cost. The cost of “freedom” is no God, no guilt, and no remorse for what you are doing to yourself, let alone your family.
Life, as I saw it, was perfect until a visit to Michigan to see family and friends turned my world upside down. When I arrived I was informed that my sister started going to church and was studying the Bible. She told me how it was changing her life and wanted me to talk to the ARISE Bible worker, Diana Lara. I reluctantly decided to talk to her. After a powerful first meeting with Diana I had a big decision to make. Little did I know at that time that my life depended on it. However, as I thought about it I thought, “No, not today. I don’t care. It’s not for me. There is no point. Who needs God. I have freedom.” So, I called up some friends and went to a bar. As the night went on something started to happen as I was drinking. A tremendous feeling came upon me. I began to think to myself, “This is not what you should be doing. There is more to life then this. There has to be more. This can’t be it. What are you doing with your life? Look at yourself.” And as I sat back and looked at my life and what I had become I realized everything was for nothing. I went home and prayed to God and told Him I was sorry for who I was. God saved my life that night.
If I had stayed and not made the decision to follow God that night I don’t know what my life would be like. I am glad I never have to find out. I cannot imagine living my life and not knowing God. Little did I know two months later I would die. On September 14, 2008, I died. I died to my old ways, my sins, and the “old man” that I never want to see again and I was baptized. As I laid my “old man” in the water I rose a “new man” in Jesus Christ. God is Good!

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2008Two students from the 2007 ARISE class knocked on my door and studied the Bible with me. I am now a part of the 2008 ARISE class and am the one knocking on doors and giving the Bible studies.
I attended Discovery Bible Fellowship SDA Church for about 9 months prior to my baptism. The teachings were foreign to me and a little offensive coming from my Catholic background. I diligently searched the Scriptures to find evidence that the teachings that I was hearing were wrong. I found none. I had no choice but to accept the truth I was faced with. Once my guard came down I was taken back by the depth of knowledge the ARISE students had. I wanted that knowledge. The opportunity came for me to attend ARISE and I jumped at the opportunity. My ultimate desire was to gain knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures well enough to share with others what has been confirmed for me. ARISE did that for me. The staff challenged me to step out of my comfort zone. They provided the tools I needed to be an effective witness to others and they helped deepen my faith and personal relationship with God. The staff at ARISE understands the urgency for the Third Angel’s Message to be proclaimed to the world.
I thank God that I can partake in this revolution.

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2008I grew up in a Christian home and had numerous opportunities to experience God’s love. However, for reasons that I can’t explain, my insignificant Christian experience was perfunctory at best. Although God had repeatedly revealed Himself to me and my family, I did not accept Him as my personal Saviour. I did not pursue a relationship with Him. I made no time to develop spiritual discernment.
Throughout my adolescence and beyond, I developed interests that had to do with the temporal things of this world and I drifted into a life of entrepreneurial cares, travel, and entertainment. I worked hard and thought I deserved to play hard. Eventually, my lifestyle became utterly secular and my interests exceedingly selfish. By this world’s standards I had an enviable and successful life; however, in the quietest of moments I had to admit to myself that I was spiritually bankrupt and utterly lost. The hole in my heart seemed to grow bigger by the day, and my dissatisfaction became harder to conceal. My frustration and disillusionment with everything I had accumulated and previously considered important became a heavy burden that threatened to crush me. I realized that I couldn’t be trusted to be in the driver’s seat of my life. I started searching for truth and for the Giver of Truth. The journey started with small, baby steps, but I was being drawn towards my Maker.
Then in August 2008, I was invited to attend David Asscherick’s prophecy seminar in Sydney and attended most of the meetings. Something profound happened to me there and one night after the meeting, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour. As soon as the meetings were finished, I made the radical decision to suddenly leave Australia and travel to the US to study the Word of God at ARISE and to learn about evangelism. ARISE was absolutely awesome! All the lecturers and instructors were highly inspirational and I have been blessed beyond measure since my decision to study at ARISE.
I know that God is gradually changing my life and aligning me with His higher purpose for me. I realize that my old life was all about selfish gain, and I pray that Christ cleanse me of the remnants of my old self and create a new character in me that is in His likeness. I am so grateful that God didn’t give up on me. I am so thankful that He preserved me throughout my years of selfish pursuits. The offerings of this world are futile and lead to eternal death. I want Life. I desire to serve Him and also help prepare others for His Kingdom. The prayer of my heart is that the Holy Spirit use me for the purpose I was created. I commit my talents and my efforts to be used by the Holy Spirit to touch others and bring them to the Truth that has enriched my life and brought me the sweet peace that I feel today. David Asscherick baptized me in the Sydney Harbor on February, 14 2009, it was the very best Valentine’s day I could ever ask for and it marks my new life in Christ! I praise Him for He is faithful and true, He is Lord of Lords and King of Kings!

Cornerstone (Flagship), 2007“My desire to serve the Lord with my all led me to ARISE. Truly, the Lord knows how to give us the desires of our hearts. Not only did the Lord use me to save souls, but I am convinced that He led me to ARISE for my salvation. Christ is the center and all of this program. ARISE has deepened the urge in my heart to spread the Gospel to all. Through the teachers here and this program, Christ has changed my perspective to an eternal perspective.”
