This Is the Life

This Is the Life

by Charis Huenergardt  |  July 15, 2015

I’ve made a habit of listening when children speak. Charis is a little friend of mine who happens to be an aspiring writer. She’s nine years old and she’s a thinker. When she shared her first writing project with me, she wondered if anyone would read it. I assured her they would and offered to post it here on the Light Bearers website. Her eyes lit up and she smiled from ear to ear. Please tell her what you think below.

I believe this and you should too. I believe that God is the true God. He created you. He designed your body to be HOW IT IS. Get a Bible and look up Genesis chapter 1 verse 1. It says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Look up verse 2 also. It says, “And the earth was empty and without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.” God knows everything. He knows what your day will be like. He knows your future. NOT the stars. HE does. HE knows your future. For an example, did God know that I wrote this book? Yes, He did. Did God know that I loved to look at the stars He made? Yes, He did. He even knows your name!! So if you have a Bible, today or tomorrow, would you please read it and learn more about this amazing, loving, wonderful, graceful, merciful, forgiving God?

Chapter 1

God also knows who you are before you were even born!!! God loves you more than to put you in hell. Plus there is no such place as hell. Hell is one of Satan’s tricks. He tries to twist the way people think so they think God isn’t real. But the best news is that He died on a cross for our sins! He lay down His life so that we could go to heaven! This is the true God. The Messiah has already come to fulfill His work down here on earth. His second coming will be soon!! The Bible prophesied that the Messiah would come. And He DID!

Speaking of the cross reminds me of the song, “On a hill, far away stood an old rugged cross,” and something like that. This is the most important verse in the Bible: it is John 3:16. It says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. That whoever believes in Him should not perish but have ever lasting life.” And remember God does not command you to do something. You have a choice to make. Do you want to follow God or do you not? What I would choose is to follow God and I think that you should too.

Beautifully written, Charis! Thank you for sharing God’s love so passionately and for letting Him use you even at a young age. He is indeed good!

I loved it! I also like writing. I like making up stories and then writing them down. I’ve just started doing that, but before I just told them and then forgot them. I’m almost done with my first book. It’s about an orphan girl who comes through difficulty, closer to God.

I believe God will use you greatly for His cause!

This is one of the most wonderful things I’ve read in days! Jesus said to let kids come to him and it’s awesome to see you’ve done so running, Charis. Thanks for sharing what Jesus has taught you! Keep spending time with Him – I have a feeling He has plenty more for you to write

I enjoyed reading what you wrote Charis … I am no longer young; I am a grandmother … but I write the things I have learned in my walk with God on Facebook to share the hope and love and power of God with as many people as I can because I would not want someone to leave me in my ignorance and lost condition … I pray you continue to the write the sweet, simple, powerful way that you do so God can add His effective power to your efforts in co-laboring with Christ for the saving of souls. … I appreciate you little sister .

Hi Charis. Grandpa and I are so proud of you for putting down on paper how much God means to you! We have watched you grow and we know that you love Jesus very much. Always make him your best friend.

  • Risë Rafferty

Charis, I love the truth that you reminded me of – that God designed me – He designed my body – HOW IT IS. He knows me and my life and that makes me feel so loved. Thank you

  • Michael

Your writing style shows that you have great talent that God has given you. I appreciate that God has shown you the truth about life and death, and that you are able to share that truth with those around you. I pray that the Lord would use your talent to fulfill a great purpose for His Kingdom. There are many souls in this world who are confused by the spiritual Babylon prophesied about in the book of Revelation.

May we all draw closer to God as the day approaches in which we can go to the home that God has prepared for us. And, may we all continue to shine the light of Jesus through our lives, that even just one more soul can be redeemed from the hands of the enemy. Even so, Jesus be glorified through all your children. Amen.
